Project Description

THE KNOW KNOW SHOW.
(Game Show – half hour). Contestants are asked questions from a category. Those with correct answers, get to answer a more difficult question from the same category. Finally, one person ‘win’s that category, gets the points and get to pick the next category where the process repeats itself.
THE KNOW KNOW SHOW
Type: Game show – ½ hour
Premise: To gauge four (4) contestant’s in-depth knowledge of different subjects.
Set: A large video screen – stage left. An Emcee podium – center stage. Contestants podiums – state right.
Rules:
4 categories appear on the video screen. For the first round, one category is randomly selected.
Then a series of 5 questions appear, one by one, which are related to the selected category and are read aloud by the emcee.
Each question gets more difficult the previous one. The questions may be in the form of a ‘Yes/No” question, a ‘fill in the blank’ question or a multiple choice question. On the more difficult questions, the multiple choice questions will include more options than the typical ‘A-B-C-D’. They will include such options as: A+B, or ALL of the above and NONE of the above.
Each contestant who gets a correct answer will receive a ‘check mark’ on a tote board behind each of the contestants.
After the categories 5 questions are asked, the contestant with the most correct answers, gets a ’star’. The ‘stars’ come in three levels: a Bronze star – for winning a category, a Silver star for getting all 5 questions correct and a Gold star, if they opt to answer an additional question in that category. But if they opt to ‘go for the gold’ and answer incorrectly, their ‘star’ will be reduced from gold to silver
In the event of a tie, additional questions from that category are asked till one contestant has one more correct answer than the other(s).
The winner of the first category gets to pick the next category. Those categories consist of the three (3) remaining original categories and one additional category.
This process repeats itself until time has run out.
At the end of the game, the stars are added up. Each star is given a different weight: Gold – 3 points, Silver – 2 points and Bronze – 1 point. The contestant with the most total points wins.
The winner moves on to the Final Round called “20 Questions”.
Once again, the contestant is presented with four (4) categories to choose from.
They then must answer 20 questions pertaining to that category.
They will receive a cash prize for each answer and if they get all 20 questions correct, they will receive a bonus prize, i.e. – a new car or a doubling of their prize money.
