Author Intro: I have known Lewis for over 20 years and I believe that he has one of sharpest comedy minds out there. He has a unique take on what ails us and he was one of the first people I thought of when putting this book together.
Author: Lewis, would you make a good Pope?
Louis Black: Mmmmmm. I don’t know. God knows, I like dressing up. I like the Popemobile, I love that little wave he does. And most importantly, I have a fondness for altar boys. No scratch that. How could I say such a thing? That was awful. It’s Choir Boys I like. (He bellows in an English accent) ‘Bring me another Choir Boy, this one’s burst’. I hope that answered your question.
Author: Can I withdraw the question?
LB: You can withdraw anything you like, big boy (he says leering).
Author: Have you found that there is a difference between a Jewish atheist and a Christian atheist – or to be politically correct, as I am wont to be – a Muslim atheist or a Hindu atheist?
LB: That’s a tough one. Can we go back to talking about the Pope?
Author: No. Seriously. Different religions have different traditions so….
LB: That’s mucho profundo Kemo Sabe….
Author: I am going to take you to Church if you don’t behave.
LB: OK, OK anything but that.
Author: The question was…..
LB: I know….Are there differences between agnostics who come from different religious backgrounds.

Sample Quotes…..
George Washington: The United States of America should have a foundation free from the influence of clergy

Thomas Jefferson: In every country and every age, the priest has been hostile to liberty.

Abraham Lincoln: The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long complicated statements of Christian dogma.

Susan B. Anthony: I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires.

Tzu Lau: Religion is the end of love and honesty. The beginning of confusion. Faith, the origin of folly.

Ashley Montagu: Science has proof without any certainty. Creationists have certainty without any proof.

Gene Roddenberry: We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing, all-powerful God, who creates faulty humans and then blames them for his own mistakes.

George Bernard Shaw: The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one.
