“MOVIE IN A BOX”
TV SHOW – REALITY – 1 HOUR
Called “Movie in a Box” because each team is given a box (that looks like a movie clapboard) and inside is a scene from a famous movie (Citizen Kane, Casablanca, etc.) and has to re-make it for $5,000-$10,000 in one week.
Four (4) teams vie to get $50,000/$100,000 to start making their own movie.
Each team consists of a director, writer, a cinematographer, an editor, a set designer, a sound editor/composer and several actors.
There is an emcee and several well-known actors and directors are the judges.
Each team shares; carpenters, grips, sound stage, wardrobe, make-up and “extras” etc.)
The results are shown the next week and the productions are graded – 1, 2, 3,4.
The next week a new challenge is offered.
After 4 weeks, the lowest scoring team is eliminated.
The remaining 3 teams continue with various cinematic challenges for the next 4 weeks.
In week 9, the third place team is eliminated.
In weeks 10, 11, 12, the remaining 2 teams compete on various cinematic challenges.
