K-FEM. (Radio Format). K-FEM plays female artists only. ‘Bringing Estrogen to Radio’, also plays duets on one half hour and songs about women (Help me Rhonda, Eleanor Rigby, etc.) on the other half hour.

From Janis to Alanis – From Aretha to Mariah
(Note: can also use call letters: (WFEM, KEVE (WEVE), KHER (WHER), KSHE (WSHE), KGAL (WGAL), KXY (WXY) if the format were to be syndicated).
Radio format which is dedicated to Women.

All the songs are performed by women, with the exceptions of:
– The first song after the hour is a duet by a female artist and a male artist.

The second exception occurs on the first song after the half hour where the song
Will be a song about a woman by a male/male group. Examples are:

Also, once an hour an ‘anthem would be played, and the 10th caller (or 20th caller)
to call in and correctly identify the Artist and Song Title would win a prize.
Prizes would generally be concert tickets to a show by a female artist.

Additionally – All the Disc Jockeys will be female and Woman Musicians and Woman Celebrities will be encouraged to stop by and play disc jockey for an hour or two.
